Abyar, Mohammadzadeh to judge at Fajr

Narges Abyar and Navid Mohammadzadeh are to judge at the Fajr International Film Festival.

Reza Mirkarimi, the director of the event has introduced Abyar and Mohammadzadeh as jury members of the International Competition section.

Born in 1986, Iranian actor Mohammadzadeh has recieved several awards and nominations including Best actor Award from 2015 Bratislava International Film Festival.

Director Narger Abyar has won awards from many national and international film festivals, including the Best Director award at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia.

Abyar’s movie ‘Night of the Full Moon’ won six awards at the 37th Fajr Film Festival.

Since its establishment, the Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

Directed by Reza Mirkarimi, the 37th edition of the festival is slated for April 18-26, 2019, in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
